Tech News: June is here, Computex is on fire (not today though)

Welcome back to Tech News, though computex is going on, we are not going to talk about it today. Come back on Sunday for that!!!

Nintendo Switch Pro:

People have been speculating a higher-spec switch pro of the already successful Nintendo Switch pretty much ever since the first one came out. But, new leaks and rumours are reportedly so legitimate that we may actually get a Nintendo Switch Pro before E3 this year, which officially starts on June 12th! Sources such as BloombergEurogamer and other press outlets. Also, the new portable console is expected to launch by Septembet this year, although we will have to wait untill the unveil to know more for sure. But, leaks predict a bigger 7-inch OLED display and 4K display output capabilities.

But, I wanted to take a 1000 more photos!

Google is now ending it's policy of anyone to be able to upload unlimited number of photos in google photos at any tier. Though pixel owners had the priviledge of having unlimited photo storage on the cloud that were uncompressed, now google says that all photos to their cloud will now be compressed. As for everyone else, that storage now counts towards the standard storage that is given through google drive, instead of being a seperate entity.

Amazon is kind now!

After years of problems in pretty much every part of the world, Amazon says they have a solution to solve the problem of overworked staff. They're calling it Zenbooths. These "booths" will be spread out through the warehouse and have a computer, fabric walls, some indoor plants and some ventilation. So, Amazon says their workers can energise after a good rest at the Zenbooth and get to work cheerfully.

I though Sony was kind too!

A relatively new technology called Crossplay allowed gamers to enjoy multiplayer games between platforms such as PC, Xbox and the Playstation. Turns out, Sony has a royalty system for enabling crossplay on the PlayStation that was revealed as part of the Apple and Epic trial last week. So, many studios have announced that their games will not support crossplay on Playstation the most notable of which is Gamebox studios blocking crossplay on Playstation on Borderlands 3.

But I know Nvidia is not kind... right?

The leaks and rumours of the RTX 3080Ti are starting to increase quite substantially in this week as the card in expected to launch this weekend. Videocardz has actually published a leak of the speculated RTX 3080Ti. So, we'll have to wait and see for the card to actually launch this week and for reviews to go out live. A quick mention that the card won't have mining limiters and multiple partner cards leaked is also worth mentioning.

Trust me, the people who did this are kind:

A group of scientists were able to genetically engineer a virus to eject light sensitive proteins into a blind man's eye and train him with light filtering goggles for 7 months to restore a part of his eye sight. See, I told you they were kind. After his training, the man was able to locate an object on a table by sight 92% of the time! That is very good medical tech they used for it...

That's it for today folks, come back on Sunday for more tech news, no more generic posts this week!!!
